Chris Matthews Throws Away the Kool-Aid!!
Thu Oct 04, 2007 at 08:14:59 PM PDT
This is going to be a very short diary, because I just wanted to alert people if they didn't see this already, but Chris Matthews just told an audience of very prominent people- including Sen. John Kerry, Tim Russert, and Alan Greenspan, that Bush has "finally been caught in criminality."
This is big people. Chris is scheduled to host tomorrow's Republican debate, and with remarks like this is could cause the sponsors to demand he recuse himself from hosting.
IS HILLARY CLINTON A CLOSET DOMINIONIST?

As a lapsed Catholic myself, but still prone to rather traditional inclinations in the matters of my faith, (traditional in the old Catholic alliance of the New Deal with politics), I regularly browse through some rightwing Christian and Catholic Web sites. One of the sites I regularly visit is www.spiritdaily.com, a sort of Drudge Report of the mystical Catholic world. They regularly feature articles about trends in world politics in religion which they feel is indicative that we may be living in the "End Times", a belief they share with many of their fundamentalist Protestant contemporaries.
That, and numerous broadsides against "liberal Democrats" in favor of abortion rights and gay rights and embyonic stem cell research. More on the flip:
Paging Senator Johnson

I really hate to have to bring this up, and God knows I have nothing but sympathy for the good Senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota and his family. I am not privy to private family medical advice, so I'm sure there is a lot that we don't know about his condition. But it has been almost 8 months now since Senator Johnson has been incapacitated. The last reports I heard were a couple months old, that he was returning to Washington DC.

Senate Defeats Cloture on Immigration Bill
Thu Jun 07, 2007 at 06:07:53 PM PDT
I for one think this is very very good news. The Senate has just voted against cloture on the so-called Immigration "Reform" bill. It got only 45 votes for cloture, with 50 against. Since there is not a current open thread, and I feel this is such good news, I'm going to post this as a diary.
